I started writing for Trip Sheet Magazine back in 2001. I was hired by Craig Harris to write a column every so often, but it turned into a regular column when I kept sending in my copy. Originally, I was to talk about how it was to drive on the Westside of town. After leaving the Westside Cab Company, I started to explore the cab industry a bit further by driving for almost every cab company in Las Vegas. Some companies I drove for I did various times and over the years I found primarily they were all the same. I also discovered that driving a taxi can be fun and that's exactly how I drove. If I wasn't having fun, it was time to move on. The Cab Files came about for my love of the TV series The X-Files. I'd name my monthly after an episode of the X-Files and did so for a couple of years. But after the series was over so was my gimmicky article name calling. After the death of Craig Harris who was my editor and friend, I realized I wasn't having fun anymore. The Cab Industry is a ruthless cut-throat bizz. I took time off from driving a cab to work on a book and have completed the story. I hope to have it published sometime in 2009. Enjoy the pages and thanks for reading my articles...Frank
